Incentive for business owners signed into law. The 2010 Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment (HIRE) Act is focused on accelerating the hiring of unemployed workers.

The HIRE act exempts employers that hire workers after Feb 3, 2010, who have been unemployed for at least 60-days, from having to pay the employer’s 6.2% share of the Social Security payroll tax for that employee for the remainder of 2010.
