With the Miami Heat grabbing three of the biggest stars in the NBA and putting us in the global spotlight, Rentals throughout all the condos in downtown and Brickell filling up faster then owners can put rentals on the market, and businesses slowly trickling in...its proof that Miami is on the verge of something great.
On any given night, you can drive around and find places with a crowd spilling on to the sidewalks. Block parties and events as of late have been huge successes. We have the AAA Arena a few MetroMover stops away from your condo and soon, in 2012, a baseball stadium that will be just a short Taxicab ride to the front steps of what will be a state of the art stadium(with a crazy fish tank skirting the field). And a beautiful Performing Arts Center that is ready to offer some of the greatest shows south of the NYC.
But yet I feel this is only the beginning and there can be so much more. We are the epicenter of the Americas, and a favorite for foreign investors. I constantly see young professionals leaving behind the suburbs, even renting out the homes they bought into years ago, to move into the vibrant city and high rise living.
What I would like from this discussion is to hear from the neighbors and see what you think can add to this city. For instance:
- This city is full of young professionals creating a name for themselves in their business trade, so perhaps a monthly networking event that travels to a different location each time to promote a new venue.
- I think a silent but powerful trait to improving the feel of a city is charity events, but lets hear the charities you want to raise money for and will grab your interest in getting you out of your routine.
Now lets hear your ideas! or even just add your thoughts to the discussion...
