I am very dissapointed with this building. Although pretty and with a nice pool and gym, there are always problems with the elevators, the design of the parking is awful, there are no moving elevators (they make you jump around with your stuff to the second floor, go through those uncomfortable doors and switch elevators again). Who was the genius who designed that???
Also, what's going on with the residents there? Everybody is so tense. No one replys to any greeting on the elevators. What a weird attitude!!!
It could be much better if people were more friendly.

I've been living at 50 Biscayne about 3 years now and I still have to say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I previously lived at One Miami for about a year, but I'd rather live here. There are definitely pros and cons to any building, but for me the good outweighs the bad. The location, unobstructed view, pool, and gym make it a winner in my eyes.
The elevators have been problematic at times, but I've seen elevator issues in most high-rise buildings. I have to agree that the configuration makes it a pain in the ass to move in/out of the building since you have to "cross over" through the garage before you can go up to higher floors. Luckily it's not something you really have to deal with on a regular basis.
As far as the people with attitude, this is something that is common pretty much all over Miami. I wouldn't blame 50 Biscayne. A lot of people in Miami are "standoffish" or on the defensive. Believe it or not, this is one of the reasons I created this website. For many, it acts as an icebreaker and helps with those uncomfortable elevator moments. lol
I'm sorry to hear you've had a bad experience, but give it a chance... Come out to one of the local networking events and I'm sure you'll meet some really nice people. :)
