RZA's not dead. Haven't heard the new album (8 Diagrams), but I'm sure the production is still strong. He's one of the greats!
I get what you're saying though - that era of hip hop was timeless. Back then, producers produced albums. Nowadays, producers (for the most part) bang out a club banger, get paid, and don't necessarily make it for the sake of the art.
Anyways, steer clear from the Jose Sabelotodo's - that's nothing but trouble.
