Who's your neighbor?

Brazilian restaurant at 900 Biscayne - Botequim Carioca

Well it looks like the Brazilian restaurant is about to open. The tables are all set and you can see future employees walking around all day. I will check it out as soon as it opens and report back.

Sounds good... another place to eat (and it's not Italian... lol)
Let me know if you drop by and check it out!
Definitely let us know how it is. Is is a churrascaria? Are they serving feijoada? mmmmmm......yummy!

Oh and if they have any Brazilian music playing - I can dance a mean samba ;)
I am on vacation all this week so I will try to drop by tomorrow and get more details.

Definitely will drop a line once I check it out

It says the grand opening will be during the first days of August...
Ok guys Botequim Carioca is open for business. I am going there for lunch tomorrow. They put up flyers all around 900 today. Also, all 900 resident get a free Caipirinha with every lunch or dinner during the month of August.

Just had lunch there. Good size portions and reasonable prices.
Went there last night. Very nice...although it has more of lunch restaurant feel to it than a night spot. But prices are very reasonable.

I recommend the "pastel de camarao con queijo catupiry." Shrimp turnovers with "catupiry" cheese.
I ate there last night, it was very good & the staff is very friendly.
Ate lunch there today.. (It was a nice walk from 50 Biscayne) The onion rings were delicious and it was nice to have some sirloin steak that was prepared Brazilian style with "mystery" rice and black beans. Pricing was reasonable for lunch ~$15 per dish (dinner prices were higher ~$25 per dish), but the staff couldn't get the credit card machine working when I gave them my credit card to pay. Could happen to anyone starting out, I guess.

I will go back... :)
Went there today for lunch. had the Picana and it was delicious. I think the price for lunch wasn't bad. They were pretty busy so it seems the word is getting around. I will definately visit again.
