How do we get management to buy more bandwidth for our building? I work as a web designer and have to walk to starbucks to get any work done. MDU says that the building is wired solely for their services, (i.e. monopoly), so our only alternative is for 50 Biscayne to buy more bandwidth for ever-increasing residents.

I agree. I heard there is a single T1 supplying the bandwidth to the building. That is slower than a modern DSL line. Sometimes I can't even stream simple youtube videos at home. That's ridiculous.
Bandwidth prices have gone down significantly and it wouldn't be that much more per unit to have a faster connection. At least they should allow an "upgrade option" to faster speeds like they do in some other buildings. -

It seems to have improved lately and they did a major maintenance/upgrade to the infrastructure the other day. Do you still feel the Internet slow at the building, Jeanna?
I still think we should be offered an "upgrade option". -
