Tax Credit extension plan...Please read and send email.

The $8000 first time home buyer tax credit included in The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 that passed in February has been a success in enabling first-time home buyers to realize the dream of home ownership. But unless Congress acts, the credit will expire on November 30. This could stop the housing recovery and slow the economy's momentum just as it is beginning.

The Fix Housing First Coalition is encouraging Congress to extend the tax credit to September 30 of 2010 and expand it to include all buyers. It is imperative that we support the Coalition's efforts and weigh in via email to both the White House and the Treasury Department to let them know that the home buyer tax credit is working and to urge them to extend and expand it.

To send your email message to the White House and the Treasury Department, just click on the link below for an easy to use email form.

Thank you.
