Who's your neighbor?

Just came across this article. Apparently a new Irish Pub has opened up in Brickell near Segafredo. We need more places like this in Downtown and Brickell. Can't wait to check it out - maybe this weekend!

Celtic Pride
Your New Irish Drinking Den

Let's not beat around the bush here. It's damn hot outside. And you're thirsty.

What you want on a day like today is a place that serves copious amounts of suds, brews, brewskis, pints, pilsners, lagers, ales and, well, beer. Oh, and a foosball table.

Say hello to Brickell Irish Pub, open today and ready to pour you a cold one starting at 11am.

A multistory Irish pub on steroids, this neighborhood joint is where you'll go when you're in the mood for a frosty brew and classic pub distractions like poker, darts, pool and foosball. Sort of a hybrid sports bar/gastropub, the bar has 14 beers on tap and another 40 available by the bottle, all of which go well with the dozens of flat-screens positioned throughout and set to sports channels all day Sundays.

Make your way to the first-floor bar—right next to the raised platform stage where local bands will provide the escapism you need to get through these hot summer months. Move on to sampling the traditional pub dishes like Buttermilk Fried Oysters, Irish Fish Cakes and the house special Irish Burger, topped off with corned beef and cabbage.

Just in case sitting in an Irish bar drinking Guinness wasn't Irish enough for you.

I ran past this place yesterday morning, looks great. Can't wait to check it out.
Yeah, I drove by it the other day and the exterior reminded me of New Orleans. If you drop by before me, make sure to give us your review. :)
I wonder what the difference is between an "Irish Pub" and an "English Pub". More specifically, if they serve apple cider (alcoholic, of course). The English Pubs I have been to serve it, but I'm not sure about the Irish pubs. If this place serves cider, we'll try it. If not, we'll keep looking.
Give me more options...love it!
What's the big deal about the cider?

Although both designs are very traditional, both in the pub furniture used and in the designs themselves, an Irish pub usually is generally a little more rustic or casual than an English pub.

I'll take either... but some say I'm an alcoholic. ha

Oh wow... thanks for the insight. They're creating quite the monopoly on that block! Less walking for us..

New formation spot! This new spot is owned & operated by the same guys of Segafredo Brickell...just FYI.
The place looks very nice, but I do not know if they sell cider, for sure I can tell you that The Irish Times place in Sunset has it (it's really good), and also the new Yard House in Coral Gables -they have apple and pear cider - happy hour at the Yard House is from 3 to 6 M- F try it!
