One of Miami’s top skyscraper designers; Charles Sieger, designer of the urban 50 Biscayne, Icon South Beach, ultra luxurious Apogee, and revolutionary Portofino tower, among other projects, is building a 14-acre estate on the southwestern fringes of Miami-Dade County.
It is ironic to see one of the area’s top condo architects, a proponent for
urban life I would assume, build a
massive mansion on land situated outside of the urban development boundary.

If anyone made a lot of money during the condo boom, it's the architects.
I think this "castle" he's building as his home speaks for itself.
