National Championship Fan Fest Event

The Southwest Airlines National Championship Fan Fest presented by the City of Miami is one of the most anticipated events during the Orange Bowl Festival. South Florida natives and thousands of out-of-town supporters will descend upon South Florida for the 2009 FedEx BCS National Championship, as the nation's premiere teams face off for the most coveted title in college football. Fan Fest, traditionally held the day before the National Championship Game, gives fans a chance to mingle in downtown Miami with music, food and fun under the sun.


Spectators at this year’s Fan Fest will be treated to live performances by local artist while closing out the night with the All-American Rejects headlining the show. Previous years have featured electrifying performances from JoJo, Collective Soul, Trace Adkins, Outkast's Big Boi, and Lil Wayne.



The 2009 Southwest Airlines National Championship Fan Fest presented by the City of Miami will enhance the image, economy, and culture of South Florida. It will also showcase the former players, coaches, bands, cheerleaders, and mascots of the participating teams in the 2009 FedEx BCS National Championship.



The event will run from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Downtown Miami at Bicentennial Park. It will be an unforgettable day of great music and family fun for visitors of the Orange Bowl Festival.
