Event Description

Experience one of Miami’s great hidden residential neighborhoods along the Miami River with Historian Dr. Paul George. Start out at beautiful Sewell Park, named after E.G. Sewell, elected Mayor of Miami four times. E.G. and his brother John opened the first store north of the Miami River in 1896. He died 2 days after suffering a heart attack in 1940 at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
