Presents a FREE Festival in the Park featuring DJ Irie with Miami Spring Break Kickoff and special guest performances by JRAND  and by DJ Chino

March, 1st 2013, 6 pm -- /Wizard Entertainment/ -- Heineken DWNTWN Miami Concert Series Presented by Car2Go will be hosting it’s 6th FREE show of the Season at Bayfront Park (Tina Hills Pavilion). The FREE Festival in the park will feature Miami's Spring Break Kick off with DJ Irie, performance by Miami's own JRAND with his Hit Single "Up Against The Wall" and music by DJ Chino, Show time at 7pm.

Bayfront Park (Tina Hills Pavilion) will be transformed into a celebration where good food, live music and family fun can be found. Come enjoy this season's eclectic FREE Festival on the grass that's becoming a Downtown Miami tradition. All festivals are FREE and open to the public.

Downtown Miami residents and visitors can enjoy an evening under the stars with family, friends and can even bring their pets. Stroll the park and enjoy the Heineken Beer Garden, Food Truck Frenzy and browse and shop at a variety of arts and crafts vendors. A unique downtown setting with Biscayne Bay as the backdrop.

Headlining this season's sixth show:

DJ IRIE - Irie, who has the number one mix-show on Miami's WEDR 99 JAMZ is known (The Miami Herald and Miami Tribune are among those who say so) as Miami's number one DJ, and while he is no doubt a skilled turntable maestro, a large part of what makes him great is less tangible. "I sense the (crowd's) vibe is going in a certain direction then that's what dictates what the music is going to be," he says. Website: http://www.djirie.com/


JRAND - A track mix of pop, R&B and hip-hop which JRand co-wrote and co-produced. "Up Against the Wall," the album's lead single, is a sultry track that's equal parts slow jam and dance hit, and has quickly garnered more than ONE MILLION views on YouTube. "It's a vibe record," says J. "It's meant to make people dance in the club, have a good time and potentially help some people get pressed up against the wall in the club."
