The much anticipated 11th Annual Flagler Fest returns, a don’t-miss, fun-filled, family-friendly day of activities right in the heart of beautiful Downtown Miami. The event is free and open to the public Flagler Street., will closed to vehicular traffic this day from Biscayne Blvd. to NW 1 Avenue (west of the Miami Dade Courthouse). Festival-goers can stroll amidst an antique and vintage car and motorcycles show staged by the Antique Auto Club of America ─ South Florida Region a must-see for classic car aficionados. From the Ford Model A’s of the early 20th century to the timeless fin-backed ’57 Chevy, and now all the way up to automobiles that have been modified, the show promises to bring out the inner car enthusiast in everyone. There will be a children’s corner including face painting, a bounce house, a petting zoo and other activities for kids. At 1:30 pm Dr. Paul George will begin a historic walking tour that will start at the Gusman Center at 174 E Flagler Street. Enjoy Downtown Miami’s own group of eclectic merchants, who will be open for shoppers as well and this day or just come to have lunch alfresco in many of Downtown’s new outdoor cafes.
