5th Annual Climb Miami- Are you up for the challenge?

It's that time of year again... Climb Miami is back!

Are you up for the challenge?

Join hundreds from all around South Florida, as we climb 55 flights of stairs to help raise money for the American Lung Association.

The American Lung Association helps individuals suffering from all lung diseases including: lung cancer, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, asthma, allergies, infant pulmonary disorders, and lung problems caused by air pollution. Proceeds help promote education, community involvement, advocacy and most importantly reasearch.

Why this event is so important to me is because about 4 years ago, a close friend of mine's sister (Mari) passed away at the age of 40 due to lung cancer.

I'm sure all of you can imagine how painful it is to lose someone close to you, especially a close relative like a sibling. Each year since her sister's passing, my friend has participated in this fundraiser to help those suffering from lung related diseases. In honor of her sister- Mari, she put together a team called Mari's Angels. Last year, we had such a great overall success and this year's Stair Climb will be even better.

I'm hoping that we can encourage more participation this year. So please help my friend Priscilla and I in this effort. Whether you decide to donate or participate or both- it is all appreciated and going to a good cause.
