Hi!

I was hoping you could help me out. I have signed up as a team captain for the American Lung Association's "Blow the Whistle on Asthma" Walk which is to take place Oct. 4th. This walk benefits persons suffering from asthma and other lung diseases.

Just think...more than 35 million Americans are affected by asthma and it's the #3 killer in our country. It's horrible to think of how many people are suffering to just breathe. I'm sure we all know someone that's part of this statistic or we may even be one of the persons suffering from asthma or a related disease.

This is all I'm asking of you all, my friends... help me and my team raise funds for education, research and advocacy. Just $1! That's it and if you decide to donate more or participate in the walk, even better!

I have set a personal fundraising goal of $200 and my team's goal is at $1,000 which may seem like a lot but I know it can be done! Please help me and MAKE AN IMPACT to not only reach but surpass these goals.

As the day is approaching, I'm looking here at the stats and wishing there were more people that wanted to join the cause but at the same time I understand people's limitations and circumstances. On a brighter note, I'm proud of the team I have put together and of the work/efforts that have been contributed.
