Climb Miami will be held on Saturday, April 18 2009 at the Wachovia Financial Center in downtown Miami. Over 1,000 participants will take part in this vertical 55 story race, which is professionally timed and ranked with start times every 30 seconds. Proceeds from this event go to Lung Cancer research, education and prevention programs. Trophies are awarded in a variety of categories giving participants an opportunity to compete against the clock and conquer their quest to climb 1,210 steps! After the climb participants enjoy a Post Plaza Party where they receive free food and massages, as well as enjoy live entertainment. Stair Climb events are a unique and fun new way to raise awareness about a critical issue and raise funds to support it. The American Lung Association of Florida will host four of these vertical races throughout the state.
