Who's your neighbor?

You can never be too prepared for the unexpected. Whether traveling around the country or to a nearby city, it is best to have a first aid kit by your side.

The following is a list of recommended items you may want to include in your first aid kit.
-Band-Aids or Bandages
-Absorbent Gauze
-Hypo-Allergenic Tape
-Cotton Swabs
-Hydrogen Peroxide
-Rubbing Alcohol
-Insect Repellant
-Burn Ointment
-Hot/Cold Packs
-Disinfectant/Hand Sanitizer
-Latex Gloves

Having a small first-aid booklet to provide information on how to treat different situations may also come in handy.

Depending on where you are traveling to and the length of your stay, the items listed above can vary.

Also, keep in mind that if you are prone to any prior health conditions such as allergies, motion sickness, acid reflux, or headaches, you may want to include some over-the-counter medications in your kit.

Some suggested Medications include:

-Anti nausea/anti-motion sickness
-Cough/Cold Medicine
-Decongestant
-Antihistamines
-Antacid
-Toothache
-Fever/Pain Reducer
-Diarrhea
-Topical Antibiotics
-Anti-fungal/Anti-Itch creams or powders

If you are currently taking prescribed medications, remember to take them with you. In addition, prepared first-aid kits may be available at your local drug store.

Be sure to consult with a Doctor or Pharmacist about which medications are right for you and or your family.
