Locals Launching A Coupon Site For Downtown Miami

To Compete With Groupon and Living Social

MIAMI –– Tuesday, September 21, www.MiamiUrbanDeals.com launches its first coupon.

Two Downtown residents saw a need in the Downtown Miami corridor (Brickell to Midtown). There are over 200,000 people that live or work in the area and no coupon website that is
dedicated to serve specifically that group.

It all started a year ago when Alex Gonzalez, who founded a social network site (MiamiUrbanLife.com) dedicated to Downtown Miami had dinner with his friend Irwin Podhajser, a local marketing person. They discussed organizing progressive dinners and offering
coupons on the Miami Urban Life site.

Eventually that idea grew into creating an entire site dedicated to highlighting the area businesses and getting great deals for those who live, work and play in Downtown Miami. The site
launches on September 21 with over 2000 pre-registered members.

Some of the unique aspects of the site that will set it apart from its competitors:

Hyper-targeting: With most of the members living/working in a small area, it gives businesses an opportunity to hyper-focus on individuals who are most likely to be repeat
customers. It allows
residents/employees of Downtown an opportunity to get great deals while
supporting local businesses.

Events: It is more than just a coupon site, it’s a social/event site as well. We will be creating progressive dinners and VIP events that members can buy tickets to.

Unique Deals: We think outside the box. For example the first deal costs $10. For that they get 20% off (unlimited) at two popular downtown restaurants (Tre & La Loggia), 20% off at a popular beauty supply store, and one free haircut at a high end men’s barber shop. It’s a deal for
the whole family and the $10 can be worth over $100 if used to capacity
