Carmelo Italian Grill: Traditional Italian Fare in a Modern Setting

Miami’s food scene is ever-changing. Miami Beach, South Beach specifically welcomes thousands everyday who visit local eateries.

Those seeking a great meal often head to Lincoln Road to get in some food cravings, shopping or great people-watching.  I am one of those that makes a three-in-one out of it.  After some “retail therapy”  I decided to have friends meet me and give Carmelo Italian a try.  What a pleasant surprise. The casual setting, situated right on Lincoln Road was the allure for me.  

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The ambiance was casual and modern. Music playing but one could still have a conversation. The food was very good. I didn’t have any expectations.

We ordered: 

Meatballs, caprese, tuna tostadas and marguerita pizza as appetizers. All were flavorful and had simple but nice presentation. Everything tasted fresh. We also tried the pesto pasta. The portions were good and the flavor hit the marks.

On the beach, there are lots of great choices. But for those looking to dine solo, with a group or have a date night, head over to this spot and enjoy great Italian fare, without breaking the bank.
