Downtown Miami Interactive Walking Tour

"Experience the Renaissance of the New Downtown Miami" with the "Taste of Downtown Miami". Enjoy complimentary tastings at area restaurants from a variety of ethnic cuisine. Visit Miami's oldest and newest buildings, which showcase a full array of architectural design from historic to modern.

The tour was created by Mr. David C. Brown, M.A, founder the Urban Tour Host which pioneered Miami's Cultural Community Tours in 2003. The company, known for its urban, sustainable, community-based tourism programs, has promoted economic development through tourism and cross-cultural experiencial learning in Miami's historic, urban neighborhoods. This creative approach to tourism has received national and global recognition and serves as a model for revitalizing urban communities.

According to Mr. Brown, "The interactive tour is expected to help change the perception of Downtown Miami and foster a positive image for the destination, attracting both locals and tourists". Tour goers will have the opportunity to participate in interactive activities and meet local vendors in a friendly, welcoming setting.

Tours will be offered each Wednesday and Saturday from 10:00 AM-12 Noon. $ 20.00 adults, $10.00, children. Meet at the Downtown Welcome Center, 174 E. Flagler St., in the Lobby of the Historic Olympia Theater @ the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts--Other days and times are available for Groups and VIP's.
