ur welcome. Brickell is definitely the spot, and u don't have to drive, just walk (although The Ivy is farther to the Brickell center than the other buildings).
Biscayne and Coconut Grove are 10 minutes away. Nice places there.
South beach is only 15 minutes away, and you can find anything there.
If you are renting you don't have to worry about association fees or anything else.
The Ivy is a good building. You can't expect much from the association though; they are very slow and incompetent.
Parking is great. I got assigned a spot on the 9th floor, but since the building is probably only 60% full, they don't mind I park at the 3rd floor.
It's 4 blocks from the main plaza (Mary Brickell Village), but if it's hot, you can't really walk that.
It's going to be very easy to commute because we have the Brickell metro loop 2 blocks from the Ivy. You won't even need to use your car unless it's raining or it's extremely hot.
I'm paying $1,350/month for a 1/1.5. I have a nice view. Same condos on higher floors may go up to $1,500.
The residents are very nice and most of them well educated.
Zack, feel free to drop Percy a comment about The Ivy. The "Hello Neighbors" forum topic is reserved for neighbor introductions. Good luck on your condo search.
