I am kind of tired of having (and reading) a dj bio written in the third person, so I'm gonna just give it to you. I was born in Washington, DC to Jamaican parents. Both of my parents are heavily into music so I was exposed to all types of music early on. Pops was also a dj (back in his day) so he had massive amounts of reggae, rnb, funk, soul, jazz and oldies records. When me and my friends were young bucks we became more and more addicted to beats. My homie got some turntables and after some liquid courage I got on about a year later. My friends and I would pretty much spent all of our money on records and would mix and scratch all day. Soon after we started rocking house and college parties. Clubs were next. Fast forward 15 years or so and I'm still in love with this. I've rocked shows up and down the east coast and have done most of my club djing at the finer Washington, DC establishments. I've headlined nights and held residencies at some of DC's livest spots including Play Lounge, Saki, Josephine Lounge, Club Five, Andalu, Fly Lounge, Kstreet, 1223, Eyebar, Tattoo and much more. I've performed at in-store events for adidas originals in Miami Beach, private parties for the Washington Redskinettes and corporate events in DC for Scratch DJ Academy. During a night I typically will incorporate all types of dance music into a set. You will hear anything from hip hop, rnb and reggae, to house, 80s, freestyle, funk, rock, remixes, club, miami bass, guilty pleasures and anything else that will liven up the party. I've now relocated to Miami (my second home) and hope to keep it moving. When I lived in Miami in '99, '00 and '01 I played regularly at Purdy Lounge and (formerly) Club N. More recently, I've performed at The Red Room of The Shore Club (MIA) and maintain regular adidas originals gigs on Miami Beach. Much has changed since I've been doing this but I've realized that you can't be bitter, you just gotta be better.
