I've been married for 7 years and together for 12. We have two beautiful kids, a 4 year old boy and 10 month old girl. I've been teaching 1st grade for the past 7 years and have recently launched a website featuring my latest hobby turned passion.
After three fun filled years of trains, rockets, and everything blue, my husband and I found out we were expecting a little girl. I soon became enamored with everything dainty and girly. My eyes began to see the world in pastel hues. I started searching for the perfect little bow my baby girl could wear for her hospital picture. I traveled to so many baby boutiques in Miami, looking for that “perfect” bow. I couldn’t find that simple bow I had imagined.
I decided to make my own bow. After much trial and error, I discovered that baby snap clips worked amazingly even on the finest hair. I covered it with grosgrain ribbon and lined the inside with a special grip to make it even more non slip. I then attached a pink satin ribbon in the center. Alas, the “Tiny Bow” was born. That was the simple bow I was searching for. When our baby girl arrived at the end of the summer, she wore her pink “Tiny Bow” for her hospital picture… and it was just what I imagined… simple and sweet.
I began creating more and more clips for my baby. It was the perfect way for me to unwind after my little ones went to bed. My friends began asking me to make clips for their children. At the mall, people would inquire as to where I bought the clip my baby was wearing. That’s when I decided to turn my little therapeutic hobby in to a business and so Tiny Bowtique was born in the Fall of 2007. The name Tiny Bowtique was inspired by that simple and sweet “Tiny Bow” I made for my baby girl.
