slow/malfunctioning elevators

Does anyone know why the elevators are so slow and often out-of-order in this building? I've heard that ThyssenKrupp elevators are supposed to be excellent, but someone told me that the bldg management may have skimped on the actual software to run the elevators. I've actually gotten stuck in the elevators (in between floors) a couple of times, and someone from the building maintenance dept has had to open the elevator doors. I've also seen the fire department help other people out of similar situations.

It does seem to be related to the electronics/software that controls the elevators. I've noticed that sometimes you have the press the buttons multiple times for them to light up and there is usually a delay with you press the elevator call buttons.

It seems to be better now... They used to have problems almost every week.

I've still noticed a lot of problems with the elevators, Alex. For example, two of the five elevators for the building were out of order last weekend. That resulted in a lot of crowded and slow elevators (especially for those of us who live on the top floors).
