Who's your neighbor?

Can anyone recommend a Primary Doctor in the Downtown/Brickell area?

My current primary Doctor is out in Kendall and I think it's time to switch to someone closer to the Downtown/Brickell area. (Yes, I'm getting spoiled by not having to drive in traffic anymore!)

If someone could recommend a Primary Doctor in the Downtown/Brickell area, I would highly appreciate it.

I think others on the site would also find this information beneficial.

Thank you!

I would suggest you choose a primary physician in the Civic Center (UM Medical/Jackson). It's easily accessible via metrorail from downtown and it's a one stop shop. You can get everything done in one location. You don't have to go anywhere else to get x-ray's done, blood drawn, etc.

It's very convenient and the medical staff (based on my personal experience) has been excellent.

Good luck.
It would definitely be a plus for them to be at UM Medical/Jackson.... I'm just hoping someone could personally recommend a doctor they have had a good experience with.

Thanks!
As far as I know, the closest are either at Jackson Hospital (I don't personally know them), or by Metrorail to South Miami Station to Dr. Yale Samole, a cardiologist.
Alex call your Insurance Comany and ask them. They will be able to give you the best info. Traffic is super bad in the (UM Medical/Jackson) I'm sure that anybody who has been there can say the same. Also Alex I'll ask Ilene.

I could suggest Jackson too, but I entered through the VIP section. LOL! They even come and pick you up (literally)!
But whatever doctor I had filled me up with copious amounts of Morphine and said goodnight! LOL!
My Doctor is at Mercy Hospital. His name is Lazaro Prieguez and his pretty good. He is a general practioner.
Mercy Hospitall has a referral service, The traffic to Mercy from Brickell is non-existent so you should be able to get there in no time at all. I usually like to go with physicians who specialized in internal medicine, rather than general practice, because they have higher training requirements. After many years of experience, this may no longer matter, but just to play it safe. Other than that, I am afraid I am not too familiar with any one doctor in particular.
Thanks for the recommendation. Mercy Hospital is not too far and probably less cluttered than Jackson.
